It was a real stomach punch to hear that he'd suffered that injury during mini-camp, of all places. I think the Pats really were counting on him to contribute as a rookie last season. Hopefully he can team with Mayo inside and they can become the new Bruschi/Phifer (with Guyton as Ted Johnson?) for years to come. I hope he’s healthy this year.

I do recommend getting the triangle numbers from the players whenever possible though; its a draftnik thing. Back in the spring, it was reported that McKenzie was working alongside Mayo with the starting group when he popped his knee. Is that true? Also, anytime a player pushes himself to MAXIMIZE their speed after a muscle pull, there's a far better chance of those type of nasty injuries. I had similar problems with my hurdlers.
